Our Culture
“Our culture is defined through five specific statements that communicate reliability, relatability, and responsibility. These are not just things we say, they're who we are.
Our Pastors
Pastor Justin and Marissa Jenkins lead Velocity Church. They're passionate about building the local church and seeing people far from God find hope and life in Jesus. For the past 10 years, they’ve been privileged be a part of doing that not only in our community, but also in our world. The Jenkins live in Lawrence with their three sons, Reece, Oliver, and Grant, and daughter Pippa.
This is how we do community.
On Sundays, we gather together in person and online. Service times may vary, but you can always expect a warm welcome, powerful worship, prayer moments, a life-giving message, and the presence of Jesus.
One of the ways God designed us to grow is by having the right circle of friends in our lives. Our Groups are small gatherings of 5 to 15 people who meet in person or online during the week to connect and encourage each other.
Our Essentials class is designed to help you move forward with God’s purpose for your life. These four sessions will help you know the heartbeat of this house, discover your gifts, and show you how you can make a difference.
There’s nothing else like knowing God is using you to make a difference. Our Teams connect every person with an opportunity to grow in their calling.

Velocity Kids are our future leaders. Every Sunday, kids from 5 months to 5th grade are equipped with knowledge of the love of God and their identity. Velocity Kids services happen simultaneously with Velocity Sunday Services and are uniquely designed to share God's Word in a creative, relevant, and age-appropriate way.
Velocity Youth is the junior high and high school community of Velocity Church. We help middle school and high school students grow their faith, their character, and their relationships by creating a space where they can belong. Velocity Youth meets on Wednesday nights.
